Transformations of plastic contrast in Contemporary wooden Work Between Symbolic Significance and Aesthetic Interpretation

Abstract

Objectives: The current research aims to examine the transformations of formal contrast in the structure of contemporary wooden artwork, as well as to explore the symbolic meanings resulting from these transformations through the aesthetic interpretation of contemporary wooden pieces.
Methodology: This study adopts a descriptive-analytical approach in the theoretical framework and analyzes wooden artworks to uncover the symbolic meanings associated with the transformations of formal contrast.
Results: The research yielded several findings, including the significant aesthetic impact of combining transformations of formal contrast in the structure of wooden artworks. This impact is reflected in the intense intellectual movement within the arrangement of elements and opposing structural relationships, where the mind perceives things through their opposites. This, in turn, produces aesthetically diverse forms with profound symbolic dimensions.
Conclusion: The research presents several recommendations, most notably the emphasis on highlighting the aesthetics of formal contrast transformations, as they constitute a fundamental aspect of the formation and construction of wooden artworks. Additionally, it suggests aligning aspects of interpretation and symbolism with technical treatments in a way that enhances the depth and rigor of artistic experiences in woodcraft.
