Abstract

The research aimed to investigate the impact of a training program based on the Dual Model of Giftedness on developing social entrepreneurship skills among students in the Home Economics College. The research employed a quasi-experimental design. The program sessions were designed in light of the Dual Model of Giftedness, encompassing both (possession/dissemination) aspects. Additionally, a test for social entrepreneurship skills scenarios and a scale for entrepreneurial contribution were developed. The research sample consisted of (40) male and female first-year students from the general division, after determining their IQ using Cattell's Culture Fair Intelligence Test – Scale 3, Form B (adapted and standardized by Abu Hatab et al., 2004). Their scores ranged between (132-136), which indicates giftedness. A student interest areas form (prepared by the researcher) was used to tailor the program. The program was implemented in the first semester of the academic year 2024/2025, followed by the post-application of the research tools.
The results confirmed a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group students in the social entrepreneurship skills test (as a whole) and the entrepreneurial contribution scale (as a whole) in favor of the post-application at a significance level of (0.01), with a large effect size "η2". The research recommended the necessity of focusing on providing social entrepreneurship programs, particularly at the university level, while adopting models that support giftedness and encourage humanitarian contributions in applied fields that contribute to the development of human life, such as home economics.
