Abstract

The study aims to: The current research primarily aims to examine the effectiveness of a guidance program developed to raise environmental awareness among couples preparing for marriage, to steer them towards green products and its relationship with family resource management. The significance of environmental sustainability has become imperative in our time, and the shift towards green products is one of the influential methods to encourage young people to make sound and sustainable environmental decisions. It has become important to enhance environmental awareness due to its significant economic advantages. Research tools, including a public youth data form, the Green Awareness Scale for Couples, and the Family Resource Management Scale for Green Product Orientation, were applied to a basic research sample consisting of 347 young people from diverse social and economic backgrounds, according to various demographic variables such as gender, residence, and education level, as well as monthly income. These variables were selectively chosen, as it is essential for them to have knowledge about green products. The program was implemented on a pilot sample consisting of 51 young people, from March to May 2024.
The research findings, as a result of research tools application, indicated the following: - There are statistically significant differences in the responses of the youth in the primary research sample to the dimensions of the Green Awareness Scale for Couples preparing for marriage, in

terms of cognitive awareness, behavioral awareness, and emotional awareness, based on the research variables (gender, place of residence, educational level, and monthly income).
 - There are statistically significant differences in the responses of the youth in the primary research sample to the dimensions of the Family Resource Management Scale for green product orientation, including financial resource management, time management, and consumer decision-making abilities, based on the research variables.
- There is variation in the contribution of demographic variables (gender, place of residence, education level, and average monthly income) in interpreting the variability in environmental awareness according to regression weights and correlation coefficients.
 - The contribution of demographic variables (gender, place of residence, education level, and average monthly income) varies in explaining the variability in family resource management based on regression weights and correlation coefficients.
- There is a statistically significant difference at the (α ≤0.05) level between the average scores of couples in the pre-test and post-test of the Green Awareness Scale for green product orientation (overall) and for each of its components.
 - There is a statistically significant difference at the (α ≤0.05) level between the average scores of couples in the pre-test and post-test of the Family Resource Management Scale for green product orientation (overall) and for each of its components. - There is a positive correlation relationship between the scores of...  - There is a positive correlation between the scores of couples in the pre-test and post-test of the Green Awareness Scale for green product orientation (overall), and their scores on the Family Resource Management Scale for green product orientation (overall).
- An effective counseling program has been found to enhance environmental awareness among couples preparing for marriage towards green products and its association with Family Resource Management, as indicated by the average gain score for their ratings on the Green Awareness Scale and the Family Resource Management Scale.
