This research aims to study the effect of digitization method on the appearance of electronic embroidery of natural leather, and to try to overcome the technical and appearance defects that occur during embroidery on natural leather, to reach the best quality of the appearance of embroidered leather depending on the correct selection of the type and density of the stitch and the type of reinforcement through the application of several variables,
The research sample consisted of three types of natural leather (goats- bovine - Chamois) - three types of electronic embroidery stitches (Tatami - satin - zigzag filling) and three densities of the selected stitches (light - medium - high) interfacing methods (interfacing with light sponge - Reinforcement with paper - Reinforcement with Vaseline) The research followed the descriptive approach to achieve the objectives of the research in addition to the experimental laboratory approach to conduct tests for the specifications of the natural leather in question.
The results of the research reached the possibility of executing the three stitches of electronic embroidery (Tatami - satin - zigzag filling) on the three raw materials of leather (goats- bovine - Chamois) with medium stitch densities for goat and bovine leather, according to the nature of the type of leather and its properties, and according to the results of the appearance followed by the density of the stitches low, and lack of The validity of the high stitch density with all three leathers according to the phenotypic results in terms of skin stretching, ruffles and bad appearance.
The phenotypic results differed for the type of stitch. The results showed the preference of the filling stitch for machine embroidery on goatskin, followed by spray stitches, and finally the satin stitches. For the leather stitches, the results showed that the satin stitch was the best stitch for the leather stitches, followed by the spray stitches, and finally the filling stitches. Chamois, the research results proved that the Tatami stitch was the best stitch for suede leather, followed by the satin stitches, and finally the stuffing stitches.
This is due to the nature of each of the three leather raw materials used in the current research and its properties of flexibility, tensile strength, elongation, thickness, and tearing. As for reinforcement, the results showed that the best type of reinforcement for goat and Albanian leather is Vaseline, followed by paper, while paper reinforcement was the best of all. As for the chamois leather, due to its high elasticity and low thickness, and the inability to strengthen it with a light sponge on the three samples at all due to the bad results of its appearance according to the results of the evaluation scale.
