Abstract

The aim of this research is to study some of the finishing techniques for high-quality materials (satin, chiffon) in the light of the Brita-a-Porte style. With the woven tape - ending the letters in the curved tail fold with a corner), an estimate scale was prepared to evaluate the executed samples, and the results resulted in the appropriateness of the techniques of finishing the curved and straight stitches of the satin material in the light of the Brita-a-Porte method. As for the letter-finishing style of the tail fold with a woven ribbon, it proved suitable for both satin and chiffon materials, while the lettering method for the tail fold with a corner is suitable for satin material better than chiffon. In addition to the arrangement of the most suitable finishing techniques for the satin material, where the straight stitching comes in first place, followed by the curved stitching finish, then comes in third place the finishing of the letters in the curved tail crease with a corner, and finally the end of the letters for the tail crease with the woven ribbon.
