Decorative Design Visions for Veiled Clothes Inspired by the Aesthetics of Mandala Art as an Entrance to Achieving Subjective Well-Being

Abstract

A woman in the adult stage bears a number of responsibilities that often cause her to feel psychological pressure, bad mood and a sense of dissatisfaction, given the important impact of clothing and its decorations on her psychological state and mood; They need clothes that contribute to a sense of pleasure and personal well-being, in addition to the fact that veiled women are always looking for clothes that are modest and solemn, and at the same time they strive to keep up with fashion; Therefore, this research sought to achieve the subjective well-being of veiled women in adulthood by presenting a set of decorative designs inspired by the aesthetics of mandala art on one of the contemporary clothing styles for veiled women in adulthood, which is the tunic; Through the use of Adobe Illustrator for drawing and design; To achieve this goal, the descriptive approach was used with analysis and application; By preparing (3) questionnaires, the first and second to evaluate the proposed designs, one for the specialists, the other for consumers, and the third for evaluating the executed designs for consumers. The most important results showed that specialists and consumers accepted the designs, and that the “hand-printing with stencil” method was the most appropriate method for implementing inspired decorative designs. From the art of mandalas on clothes compared to the style of hand embroidery according to the opinions of a consumer sample.
