Abstract
Many workers believe that the stage of retirement from work is a period of multiple crises. This is true if the working woman does not plan for it ahead of time and implement proactive strategies to manage this stage, which is reflected in the extent of her sense of life well-being. As a result, the current study aims to investigate the efficacy of a counseling programme based on raising awareness of proactive management strategies for the retirement stage and its relationship to the life well-being of working women. Where; the data was completed by using the research tools (prepared by the two researchers) represented in the preliminary data form for working women - the awareness questionnaire of proactive management strategies for the retirement stage with its dimensions described in (positive thinking and self-development - planning to use time - financial planning for the future) and the level of well-being questionnaire With its axes (physical - social - psychological) - an indicative programme to develop working women's awareness of proactive management strategies for the retirement stage), on intentional sample of 368 working women from various economic and social backgrounds. One of the criteria for selecting the sample from some villages and cities in Al Sharqiya Governorate was that she be a woman nearing retirement and between the ages of 45 and 60 working in government institutions in the countryside and cities of Al Sharqiya Governorate. This study employed descriptive, analytical, and experimental methods. SPSS was used to perform the necessary statistical treatments after the data was classified and tabulated. To achieve the most important results, the following tests were performed: The vast majority of working women in the research sample have low to medium total awareness of proactive management strategies for the retirement stage and life well-being, with future financial planning ranking first among proactive management strategies. Psychological well-being, on the other hand, ranked first among the axes of life satisfaction. There was a positive, statistically significant correlation at 0.001 between each level of awareness of proactive retirement management strategies among working women with its dimensions and the level of well-being in its aspects. It was also found that there are statistically significant differences between the average scores of working women in awareness of the proactive management strategies of the retirement stage with its dimensions depending on (the age of the working woman - nature of the profession - marital status - family size - education level - family income) in favor of women aged 55 years and over, who work in prestigious jobs, for the benefit of working women who are widows, and for the benefit of working women who are divorcees. There were also statistically significant differences in the average scores of working women in the level of living well-being with its axes depending on the place of residence in favor of urban, family size in favor of the small family, and family income in favor of high. Simultaneously, no statistically significant differences in the average scores of working women in the research sample were discovered. The essential aspect of life's well-being, with its axes based on the education of the working woman. It was found that the strategy of positive thinking and self-development was the most effective in explaining the 52.7 percent disparity in the well-being of working women. Furthermore, the study's findings revealed statistically significant differences in the average scores of working women, the experimental research sample in the awareness of proactive management strategies with their dimensions before and after the program's implementation, with an impact rate of 95.7 percent. Among the essential critical recommendations is that government and private institutions, in collaboration with relevant authorities such as the National Council for Women and researchers in the field of home management and institutions, provide working women who are about to retire with training courses and educational seminars aimed at developing their knowledge of proactive strategies for managing the retirement stage, which improves their sense of well-being and longevity. It gives them a better chance of living a comfortable, stable life free of problems and difficulties after retirement. They are working to establish an advisory services office to be attached to pension institutions, appointing social and psychological specialists and home management researchers to provide the information and expertise they require to help them adapt to this stage. The Ministry of Social Solidarity established associations to provide health, economic, psychological, and social services to retirees to live a more luxurious and quality life.
